A baseball game AND a big milestone!

Bean attended his very first baseball game this weekend! My work got tickets and we went as a big group to our local "farm team". The weather threatened, but we actually ended up having a beautiful evening game with a nice breeze. Bean had a great time! I think he enjoyed them prepping the field better then the game...but that's okay. (I didnt watch either...I was too busy socializing!) And just like his Grandma G, Bean wanted popcorn for his gametime snack! It was a fun (and late) night, and so nice to do something different for a change!

...And a HUGE milestone happened this weekend. As you know, we purchased big boy room furniture for Bean over a month ago and last weekend was the big delivery date. (it actually even got moved a day later due to the storm) So, we have been talking up the big boy bed arriving...well, Sunday we put Bean down for a much needed nap (oh yes, he was up until almost 11pm the night before and up as usual at 715am that morning!), and we tell him a big truck is coming after nap time. As we are thinking he is falling asleep IN his crib, we hear some of his books that make noise. Then we hear him OPEN his door...oh yes, little mister trouble CLIMBED OUT of his crib!!! We thought it was very ironic (and amusing!) that the first time he climbs out of his crib was on the same day his new bed was arriving. Unfortunately he was quite proud of his new skill and would NOT stay in bed for his nap. And, a day without a nap is rough day for all...my sweet little Bean was replaced by this very disobdient and quite difficult child! wow. So, anyways, the new furniture did arrive and is gorgeous!!! His new bed is a bit taller then expected, but we have a bed rail and he seems afraid to climb out of this bed! (for now!) Last night he slept all night in his new bed and did great! We were very proud! Tonight was a bit tougher going to bed, but it's a big change and I think it will just take some time to adapt completely. He really looks older in his new bed...he is a big boy!!!

Here is the big boy bed! We added the rail after this picture. Bean is also very excited to put toys in his drawers underneath his bed...and I am excited about the storage space! :)
