Another week...

Bean and Mommy showing off their bellies!!!

Another week has come and gone...no new pictures to post, so I figured another belly one would be fun. :)

We had a good weekend around here. We did some major cleaning/organizing of the "junk room"!!! This was a huge accomplishment!!! We now can actually keep that door open! (yes, most people who come to our house dont even realize there is another bedroom there...the door has been kept shut for 2 years!!!) So, now we have decided it will become Bean's big boy room. (and his current room will stay the nursery.) He seems very excited about it and has started to call is his room. He will actually get to sleep in there in about a month when...his new furniture is delivered!!! Yes, we took the plunge and bought him a bedroom set. He will have a very nice twin bed, dresser and nightstand!!! So our switch to a big boy bed is not too far away...

Well, we are taking another plunge this week...as most of you know, Bean has slept with a binky (pacifier) since he was born! This week...it's bye-bye binky!!!(hopefully...) D and I are bound and determined to get rid of it and we are doing the cold turkey method starting either monday or tuesday night. I know it will make bedtime a lot harder, at least for the first week or so, but hopefully we will transition well. Wish us all luck!!!! (especially Bean...I know it's a source of comfort for him, so send him some extra love this week!!!)

Hi Erica! Just wanted to tell ya what we did when it was time to get rid of the binkies...went to Toys R Us and had Elias 'pay' for some new little GI Joes with his binkies. He handed the checker his binkies, then got his Joes. Did the same for all three of the youngest kids ('buying' whatever was their current craze toy). Somehow it seemed less painful for the kids AND mama to do it that way!

Good luck this week!!! Wow...what a smart sis I've got there. Full of good ideas! Yes, her kiddos were binky-crazed. And they all survived without them...even to this day! Ha, ha
Hugs to Bean!
