ELF!!!

Last Friday night, we got a very loud knock at the door...we opened it to find a blue bag on our door step. In it was our....ELF!! We knew Santa was thinking of sending us an elf this year and we got one!!! Our "Elf on the Shelf" comes with a book explaining how our elf works. (A WONDERFUL book!!!) First, we had to name him. After much debate, Rex is our elf. :) So Rex sits in one spot all day, then at night, when we are sleeping, he flies back to Santa to report on the days activities. In the morning, Rex is in a different spot! (We are doing pretty good so far remembering to move Rex!) The kids have LOVED this and Daddy has enjoyed putting Rex in new fun spots each night. Such a great tradition to start and fun for us all!


Bean amazed we got an elf!! He did tell me later, that he thought we were getting a "real" elf. I think he wanted to play with him!!! He has grown to love Rex though and does think of him as real...especially since he's in a different spot each morning. :)

Boo---not putting UP ornaments--but reaching to take them down. Oy. So, once again our Christmas tree is decorated on the top 1/3 only. AND no fragile ornaments this year!!! Daddy is convinced our poor tree will take a tumble this year, but I am betting we will be ok. Our sweet little Boo has earned his nick name of "wrecking ball", that's for sure!
