NC!!! (Part 1)

This month started with an adventure for our family. We joined lots of our T family in the mountains of western North Carolina! We all stayed in one big house in between Cashiers and Highlands. What a fun time!!! The drive was long and a bit difficult, but the memories made were all well worth it. I will split the posts over a few blogs...I took 114 pictures on this trip!!! And a few of my favorite pics you will just have to wait and see on the Christmas card! :)

Day 1

At the Gem mines!!! The kids "mined" for gems in very well stocked buckets of dirt. :) Very fun...but cold!

The kids learning about their discoveries. We now have some very pretty rocks to add to Ben's collection.

Boo ready for his first hike and water fall viewing.

Beautiful Dry Falls.

Such a cool hike...BEHIND the falls! So cool!!! Would have been much more refreshing on a warm day...but still gorgeous!

Little Boo amazed by the falls.

Boo and Aunt C

Attempt at a family pic :)

The hiker. This little guy insisted on doing everything HIMSELF!!!

Cousins!!! (I love this picture!)

Another rare pic...cute couple! :)

Bean and the bear. We stopped at a taxidermy museum and the kids LOVED it!

Cool shot of Bean and a giraffe.

Fall view from our cabin...so pretty.

The porch. Crazy little Boo LOVED the porch!!! It would be 30 degrees outside and he would go out there. Funny little guy!!! :)

More pretty views

What a way to end a day...cupcakes with orange frosting. Yum. :)

What a fun trip! Love the pictures of little Boo at the waterfall... so sweet. And it's great to go with family, and acutally have pictures of your family! :) My sister and hubby have a cabin just north of there, and it's fun when we all get together up there. I've stayed in the area you guys were in and the cabin looks very similiar. HA! Kelly (formerly H.) A. :)
