First Day of School

The boys each had great first days of school this year! Bean is now a 1st grader and really enjoying school. His teacher is very nice and VERY organized and a little strict. (ALL good things!)  I am sure he will thrive in her class and getting through homework every night has gotten easier every day. :)  Boo started a brand new preschool and we LOVE it. He is learning SO MUCH and loves going to school. Since he is a late Fall B-day he will get 2 years at this new school and I am thrilled! We are soooooo thrilled with the awesome schools we have just 1 mile from our house!

First day of school!

We are here...really! :)

Ok---so I didnt blog all summer. Bad blogger.

BUT----as you can see from the newly posted pictures I am back! The summer was wonderful but crazy busy! I have lots of pictures to share and will do so over the next few posts.

The newest post, our trip to Hollywood Studios for Star Wars Weekend, was waaaaaay back in June!!! We had an amazing time and it was truly very cool to be immersed into all that is Star Wars! As you will see, we met lots of characters and had a blast. I bet this may be a yearly trip for our family!

Other summer news....Bean was the camp King this summer!!! He attended 4-5 different day camps and had lots and lots of FUN! He even spent a week with the G grands where he attended a golf/tennis camp. He is now interested in golf and tennis lesson...as well as playing soccer. This boys loves his sports! :) He also just started 1st grade. wow. (more on that later!) :)

Big news for Boo: He started a new preschool a few weeks ago. (picture to come later too!) He LOVES it and we do too. He is learning a ton and is sooooooo happy.

The BEST part of our summer was a first for our family...our first real family vacation. We set sail in August on a Disney Cruise!!! It was amazing. And yes, more posts to come with lots of pictures! I promise! (Between D and I we took over 500 pictures!)  :)  Here is a tease...Cruise Minnie and the boys! :)

So, hang in there. Thanks for your patience and please keep checking in....there will be new news to read and more pictures to see!!!

Soccer!

Bean has really enjoyed Spring Soccer!!! He has an awesome team and the same coach as last season. Our Saturdays mornings at the field are so much fun!!! He has scored 2 goals this season, but our little defender has saved LOTS of potential goals from the other team. This boy loves playing defense!  GO BEAN!!! :)

Easter

We had a quiet Easter just the 4 of us this year. We attended a Spring Fling the weekend before and then Easter Sunday at home in the morning and then to the beach! The boys were begging to get back to the beach! It was a beautiful Spring day and we actually stayed there for 4 hours! Ice cream on the way home topped off an wonderful day. :)

An Epic Party!

An epic party, indeed! Our Bean turned 6 last month and is very into Star Wars and Legos. The perfect combination became a Lego Star Wars Party!!!

Daddy made light sabers for all the kids. (pvc piping, piping insulation and some colorful duct tape!) Notice the smaller ones for our younger Jedi's. :)

Daddy also MADE Jedi robes for all the kids! He worked very hard and did this all on his own. As you will see...they turned out awesome!

I worked on food, invites and the rest of the party. Check out these cute bookmarks I made that were included in the goody cup at the end of the party.

Goody cups for the end of the party and cool Lego Star Wars decor.

Notice the Jedi in the pictures...

Jedi coloring station. (Ended up being a smart thing to have...since we had RAIN!)

Upon arriving, each child got a Jedi Robe.

And earned a Jedi Light Saber.

***Now, our town has had ONE DAY of rain in the last 2 months...and it was the one day I had 10 kids running around with long light sabers in my house!!! Yikes!!!***

Look at these cute young Jedis!!!

Cleared furniture and let them have fun!!!

Notice the rain (and Papa G!) outside!

Very thankful for the indoor quiet activity of coloring!
